CROWN grew out as lessons learned of Areta Aramak, spent weeks in conducting trainings and workshops for health workforce in the country. Trainers kept hitting the same wall: strong candidates, thin infrastructure, and course materials that assumed reliable electricity, fast internet and a clinical setting none of the learners actually had.

So CROWN was built the other way around, short modules that load on a slow connection, case studies drawn from real on-ground work instead of textbook scenarios, and a curriculum shaped by people who have field expertise. 

The result is a single, open web-based platform where a nurse in a provincial hospital, a medical student in Kabul, and a faculty member preparing a lecture can all find something built for the work they’re actually doing.
