Call for Contributing Instructors
Capacity Building and Resilience Open Learning Web-based Network
CROWN is an open, free public health learning platform developing accessible, educational content for learners in Afghanistan and the wider region. We are inviting qualified health professionals, researchers, and educators to contribute technical content as instructors.
Who Can Apply
This is an open call. Applicants may come from any institution, organization, or independent practice, with no restriction on affiliation. What matters is subject-matter competence, clarity of communication, and genuine commitment to public health education.
Contribution Formats
Macro-Courses
Full, structured courses covering a defined public health domain (e.g., epidemiology, infectious disease control, health systems management).
Micro-Lessons
Shorter, focused lessons organized within thematic learning tracks.
Eligibility Criteria
- Demonstrated expertise in the proposed subject area, through academic qualification, professional experience, or published work.
- Prior teaching, training, or mentorship experience, formal or informal.
- Ability to deliver content in Dari, or willingness to have submitted content reviewed and adapted for the Dari-speaking audience.
- Availability to complete an agreed unit of content within a defined timeframe.
Review Process
Every application and content submission is reviewed against CROWN’s content and quality standards and the Areta Aramak Policy governing platform conduct and content integrity. Submissions that do not meet these standards will not be published.
What Contributors Receive
- Named, attributed authorship on all published content.
- A formal letter of contribution.
- Public visibility as a contributing instructor on an open-access platform reaching learners across the region.
